Fire in the engine room of the Australia Apartments forces the evacuation of two floors in Maspalomas

 

A fire that broke out in the engine room of the Australia Apartments in Maspalomas early Saturday morning forced the precautionary evacuation of the first two floors of the building while firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze and ventilate the premises. According to available information, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

 

 

The alert was received, and an emergency operation was immediately activated, mobilizing several fire units from the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Fire Service. The firefighters traveled to the complex to extinguish the flames and secure the affected area, preventing the fire from spreading to other parts of the building.

 

 

After firefighters extinguished and ventilated the blaze, it was completely out. The operation restored safety to the building, while the affected areas in the engine room were inspected.
