A fire that broke out in the engine room of the Australia Apartments in Maspalomas early Saturday morning forced the precautionary evacuation of the first two floors of the building while firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze and ventilate the premises. According to available information, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

The alert was received, and an emergency operation was immediately activated, mobilizing several fire units from the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Fire Service.
