The German painter based in Maspalomas exhibits 'From the human to the divine' at Casa Saturninita
German artist Hanni Aita (Stuttgart, 1989) is exhibiting around twenty works at the Casa Saturninita Art Center under the title 'From the Human to the Divine'. The exhibition can be visited Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., until April 10th.
The exhibition, inaugurated by the Councilor for Education and Culture, Esther Delgado Sánchez, brings together intuitive, dreamlike, and expressive works from different creative periods that have accompanied the artist for years. The painter recommends viewing them “without preconceived notions, with an open mind to personal sensations and emotions.”

Hanni Aita, of Italian descent on her father's side, has lived in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana for twelve years. She arrived in Gran Canaria to study Spanish for a year, but ended up settling in Maspalomas, drawn by the unique character of the local people, "and by the sea," she insists. She discovered in her own inner peace that the tranquility of life in Gran Canaria and the character of its people offered her a balance and tranquility unattainable in the stressful daily grind of her hometown. Several of her early murals, some over three meters tall, are still preserved on the walls of the Bogotá apartment complex in Playa del Inglés.

The artist acknowledges that the exhibition 'From the Human to the Divine,' "dedicated to the awakening of consciousness," is a project brimming with energy because it reflects many moments of her spiritual journey. "It's about the intimate journey that sooner or later we all have to take if we seek something more than the superficial," she affirms. She sees painting as a hobby "because art needs freedom."
