Staff members receive an 8% savings on purchases made at the chain's stores on the island.
More than 7.000 people from the company SPAR Gran Canaria and their families enjoy direct savings on their purchases thanks to the employee card, which allows them to reduce the cost of the shopping basket by up to 8%.
The company is reinforcing its people-centered business model, consolidating an initiative that has increased the discount from 5% to 8% on purchases made at the more than 200 SPAR points of sale on the island of Gran Canaria. This saving is applicable to all products and is compatible with coupons from the Mi SPAR Club program, allowing for even greater final savings.
This exclusive discount not only consolidates itself as a direct and tangible support to the daily economy of Canary Island households, especially relevant in the current context, but also strengthens the sense of belonging, the well-being of the team and the commitment to the people who are part of SPAR Gran Canaria.
The employee card discount is automatically applied to the total amount of each purchase, making it simple, quick, and easy to use. To access these benefits, employees must submit an individual application and properly register their dependents.
Other benefits

In addition, the company has the SPAR Gran Canaria Scholarship Plan for the 2025-2026 school year. This program is aimed at employees with children under 23 years of age enrolled in public and subsidized schools, and 84 scholarships have already been awarded.
The initiative, launched for the third consecutive year, reinforces SPAR's genuine commitment to working families, helping to reduce the financial burden associated with education and promoting equal opportunities in access to and continuation of academic studies. It also fosters educational and social progress in the local community, a key aspect of its role as a leading company in the archipelago.
