21st edition Monte Feliz powered by Playitas Challenge La Titánica 2026 returns with force

The international cycling event on the island's sporting calendar returns with an edition that raises the bar and solidifies its international prestige. The event will bring together cyclists on a route that combines challenge, stunning scenery, and personal triumph in central and southeastern Gran Canaria.

 

Gran Canaria is preparing to experience one of the most demanding cycling events of the year with the celebration of the 21st edition of the Monte Feliz powered by Playitas Desafío La Titánica 2026The event, which will take place on April 11th and 12th, is already a firmly established fixture on the island's sporting calendar and reinforces its position as a benchmark in endurance cycling thanks to its competitive format and international reach.

The 2026 Titanic race will take place over two days, traversing the municipalities of Agüimes and Vega de San Mateo, offering participants a high-level physical challenge in a stunning natural setting. The first stage, scheduled for Saturday, will consist of an 18,3-kilometer route with a 700-meter elevation gain in Agüimes. The second day, Sunday, will increase the difficulty with a 78-kilometer course and over 2.300 meters of accumulated elevation gain, connecting Agüimes with San Mateo.

The event will be sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), guaranteeing high standards of organization and sporting quality, as well as attracting top-level cyclists. With an estimated 170 athletes participating each day, the competition promises spectacle, effort, and excitement on every stage, testing the endurance, strategy, and resilience of the participants.
