The arrested man contacted the victim through the dating app Grindr under the guise of sexual interest.
The investigators' main hypothesis is that the detainee's objective was to steal valuables from the apartment. The victim realized the visitor's intentions and tried to remove him from the premises. The struggle resulted in a shove that caused the elderly man to fall, suffering a fatal head injury upon hitting the ground, as confirmed by the autopsy results.
The case continues to involve a woman linked to the detainee. Agents are trying to determine whether her involvement was active or limited to providing cover. The woman has been released with precautionary measures restricting her movement while the legal proceedings continue. The National Police are now analyzing whether the detainee used this same modus operandi on other occasions.
