The Directorate General for Energy has opened the electrical infrastructure project between Arguineguín and Mogán to public consultation. The budget amounts to €4.334.267,00. Red Eléctrica de España, SAU is promoting this 66 kV double-circuit overhead-underground line to connect the future Mogán substation with the T-3 support structure of the existing Arguineguín – Santa Águeda line. The project requires a Declaration of Public Utility with the effect of urgent occupation.
The route affects two municipalities: San Bartolomé de Tirajana and Mogán. The project covers 11,72 kilometers overhead and 0,22 kilometers underground. The conversion from overhead to underground occurs at support T-3-25. The cable continues parallel to the E-Distribución line and the Mogán ravine until it reaches the substation. The Official College of Industrial Engineers of Eastern Canary Islands approved the project on December 23, 2024.
The list of affected properties and rights includes private owners, municipalities, and the Gran Canaria Island Council. Among the private owners are Susana, Rosario, Manuel, and Juan del Castillo del Castillo, who own several plots of land in polygons 7 and 5 of Mogán. María de los Ángeles Ojeda García also appears on the list of properties, as do the heirs of Rosario del Castillo del Castillo. Other affected parties include the entities Unión Guanche Catalana SA, Don Paco SA, Puerto Rico SA, the company Investaurito, and the owner Anna Synnove Bye.
The deadline for reviewing the project is thirty business days.
