National Police officers arrested a 55-year-old man on March 20, 2026, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health, in the municipality of Santa Lucía de Tirajana.

The investigation began after receiving various reports alerting authorities to the possible existence of a drug dealing point in a property located in the aforementioned municipality, where a continuous flow of people accessing the place for short periods of time was observed.

These circumstances were corroborated by the agents through surveillance devices, confirming the illegal activity carried out inside the house.

As part of the investigation, on March 20, 2026, the agents observed how the suspect carried out a transaction of narcotic substance in the public road, in the same municipality, handing a piece of hashish to another individual in exchange for money, both being intercepted, proceeding to the intervention of the substance.

Subsequently, and by virtue of a court order, the entry and search of the home of the investigated, located in Santa Lucía de Tirajana, was carried out, where a total of approximately 1.051,2 grams of hashish pollen and 170 grams of hashish were seized, as well as a precision scale, utensils intended for the preparation and distribution of the substance and 780 euros in cash in fractions.

During the search, the suspect voluntarily admitted the presence of narcotics inside the house, facilitating their location by the officers.

The investigations carried out made it possible to determine that the detainee used both his home and a vehicle he owned for the distribution of narcotic substances, consolidating a retail point of sale in the municipality.

The detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority, which decreed his release with charges.
