The leading electricity company in the Canary Islands, serving all of Spain, reinforces its commitment to grassroots sports by donating sports equipment to the Firgong Arucas Club, and announces new initiatives and surprises for the 7th San Juan Bautista Tournament, which will bring together players and clubs from all the islands.

The first electricity company in the Canary Islands for all of Spain, Canaluz Yesterday afternoon, he delivered a complete package of sports equipment to Firgong Arucas Table Tennis Club, in an event held together with members of the board of directors of the historic Arucas club and representatives of the sponsoring entity, at the sports facilities of the IES Domingo Rivero in Arucas, where they usually have their center of activities and training.

 

The delivered material consisted of 50 Canaluz sports bags, more than one hundred corporate wristbands and several reusable recycled plastic containers for all types of liquids, personalized with the slogan: “Canaluz, the Canarian energy of our Table Tennis”.

 

The meeting was chaired by the president of the Firgong Club, Oliver Guerra Ossorio, accompanied by members of the club's board, while Canaluz was represented by its Director of Communication and Marketing, Héctor Pérez Quevedo.

 

During the event, both entities emphasized the importance of continuing to promote grassroots sports, community, and healthy lifestyle habits through table tennis, highlighting in particular the constant work that the Firgong Club carries out throughout the year with children, young people, and adult athletes from Arucas and the rest of the island.

 

Canaluz publicly congratulated "the enormous effort and dedication that Club Firgong puts in daily to keep an exemplary youth program alive and continue to grow table tennis in the Canary Islands," also conveying a message of encouragement and recognition to all the players who participate in the activities, training sessions, competitions and tournaments organized by the club.

 

For its part, Oliver Guerra He expressed his gratitude for “Canaluz’s involvement, closeness and commitment to Canarian sport and especially to our club,” emphasizing that collaborations of this kind “allow us to continue improving the experience of our athletes and strengthen events as important to our municipality as the San Juan Bautista Tournament.”

 

Both parties also took the opportunity to encourage participation and a festive atmosphere at the upcoming VII San Juan Bautista de Arucas Table Tennis Tournament, which will be held on June 13 and 14 at the José Juan Navarro Batista Olympic Pavilion in Arucas.

 

The tournament will feature men's and women's open categories, as well as under-11, under-17, amateur, and wheelchair categories, and will also bring together invited clubs from various islands of the Canary archipelago. The organizers have already announced that participants and visiting clubs will find "numerous surprises prepared in collaboration with Canaluz," thus reinforcing the special and welcoming nature of an event that continues to solidify its place on the regional sporting calendar.
