Customers of the supermarket chain will be able to participate in this campaign at 182 stores between June 5th and 7th.
In addition to the collection points set up in the stores, there are three donation spaces located at the SPAR Gran Canaria headquarters, as well as in the Refrigerated and Frozen Foods Division and in the Fruit and Vegetables Division at Mercalaspalmas.
SPAR Gran Canaria joins the Las Palmas Food Bank Spring Collection once again this year, an initiative that this year takes place from June 5 to 7 with the participation of 182 stores of the supermarket chain, under the slogan "With your help we give everything".
In line with this objective, the campaign includes three alternative donation points to those already available in stores to facilitate participation from all staff. The collection points are located at the SPAR Gran Canaria headquarters, in the Refrigerated and Frozen Foods Division, and in the Fruit and Vegetable Division at Mercalaspalmas. SPAR Gran Canaria employees can make their donations directly at their workplaces. These solidarity collection points reinforce and expand the existing network available in the stores.
In 2025, SPAR Gran Canaria collected over 25.1 tons of food through its Spring Food Drive, bringing its total donations to the Food Bank to over 48 tons throughout the year. This year, the chain aims to surpass these results and further strengthen its social commitment, fostering solidarity with its customers to benefit those most in need.

The most sought-after products during the campaign are oil, milk, canned fish and meat, legumes, rice, flour, pasta, water, coffee, and cocoa, among other non-perishable staples. These essential food items can be found in the SPAR Gran Canaria supermarket chain.
Once received, the collected products are organized to guarantee the conditions for consumption of the donated products before delivering them to the Las Palmas Food Bank.
SPAR Gran Canaria's participation in this solidarity campaign adds to the other actions that the distribution chain carries out in its commitment to collective well-being, in this case, responding to the needs of people in situations of social emergency.
