The free leisure and live music event organized by the Department of Culture in the Plaza de la Iglesia will feature Latin dance classes, food options, and a surprise bingo game for group choreographies.
The Plaza de la Iglesia in El Tablero will host this Saturday, August 8 , starting at 21:00 p.m. , the celebration of the sixth edition of ' A Midsummer Night's Dream ', a five-hour fun event of leisure and live music outdoors promoted and organized by the Department of Culture of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council.
The evening will be enlivened musically by the singer and composer from Tenerife, St. Pedro , author of the album ' Esta vida que elegí ', and by Siroko , the rock band from Majorera popularly known for their energetic and lively live versions of famous songs from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
As in previous years, attendees can enjoy a food truck area with a variety of culinary offerings and participate in popular Latin dance workshops featuring salsa, bachata, merengue, and cumbia. In addition, a fun bingo game with musical surprises will be organized in the evening, encouraging participants to join in group dances. The festivities will conclude with a disco set by DJ El Cholo.
Landmark event
A Midsummer Night's Dream , which has attracted nearly 2.600 participants annually over its last three editions , has become a highly popular leisure event for the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana . Its launch in 2016 was an initiative developed by Councilor Elena Álamo Vega as a broad-based community sociocultural activity, involving civic groups and organizations in El Tablero, with the aim of establishing a cultural and business development event that would become a leading summer leisure activity for the youth and families of the town and the entire municipality.
In previous editions, this evening of leisure and live music outdoors has featured performances by the Cuban Lucrecia and well-known and emerging Canarian bands such as El último que cierre , Playacoco , Ochentour , Los 600 or Los Lola , among others.
