The Plaza de Las Marañuelas, in the coastal town of Arguineguín, hosted activities typical of the culture and traditions of the Archipelago on Wednesday afternoon on the occasion of Canary Islands Day. The Mogán City Council organized the day through its Artistic Schools and the Department of Culture and Celebrations
At 18:00 p.m. the celebration started in Arguineguín with craft stalls where you could buy ceramics, jewelry, accessories and decoration, among others. Food and drink stands were also set up, all of them available until the end of the evening after 23:00 p.m.

Shortly after, the sound of timples, guitars and drums began to sound through the streets of the old town that the students of the Folklore Area of the Artistic Schools of Mogán and Parranda Arguín walked through. Returning to the square, the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Wrestling Club held an exhibition of this native sporting discipline, while the La Revoliá School did the same with traditional games, to which later the attendees themselves were also able to join.

The final touch came with the Taifa Dance, which started at 20:00 p.m. and featured the participation of AF Los Pescadores, Parranda Arguín, Parranda Guayajares and Parranda Veneguera. The Parranda El Mejunje also performed as a guest. The attendees, duly dressed in the typical clothing of the Archipelago, including the mayor of Mogán, Onalia Bueno, and councilors from the local government, filled the square of the fishing neighborhood with a Canarian feeling, enjoying live music and delicious enyesques.
