Santana Cazorla and Anfi del Mar: more squid ink from Madrid against Lopesan

Yurena Vega Tuesday, February 18, 2025

Following an alleged leak in Santana Cazorla's orbit, it was learned this Monday, February 17, 2025 that the judge has decided to put 50% of the shares of Anfi Sales and Anfi Resorts up for auction, after receiving an offer of eight million euros from Lopesan. Why report the news in a Madrid media outlet like El Confidencial?? To alarm Anfi del Mar's debt holders and generate a cascade of resources that paralyzes the process again. A risky strategy that can lead to additional complications.

Santana Cazorla continues his headlong flight amid the crusade that Tirajana's business group is maintaining against Lopesan. Recently, it has been revealed that a communications company in Spain has been behind the dissemination of information in Madrid, using "squid ink" tactics to divert attention and sow confusion. What they would be looking for is a white elephant that would help the Santana Cazorlas to burn Lopesan's expectations in Anfi de Mar by having 50% of the Mogán complex.

This communication strategy seeks to influence public perception and the media, in an attempt to gain time and divert attention from the internal and legal problems facing the Santana Cazorla group. The situation has become increasingly tense, with accusations and counter-accusations between the two business groups, while justice continues its course in the various legal proceedings in which they are involved.

The leak indicates that the Commercial Court number 2 of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has announced this auction, which involves the shares of the Santiago Cazorla Group in the aforementioned companies, after one of the Lopesan subsidiaries presented its economic proposal. In a disclosed order, the judge establishes that the initial price of the auction will be eight million euros, which is the offer made by Lopesan. In addition, it is indicated that any bid must exceed this amount by at least one million euros.

Judge Carlos Vielba made this decision at the request of the bankruptcy administration of the Santiago Cazorla Group, after finding that the company does not have sufficient liquidity to cover the costs of the legal proceedings due to its insolvency situation. Some interested parties in the bankruptcy proceedings have expressed their disagreement with the starting price, arguing that the value of the assets is considerably higher. In response, the judge clarified that the sale of the shares is not being authorized for that amount, but that they are being put up for auction at that price as a minimum. "Eight million euros is the guaranteed minimum price," Judge Carlos Vielba stressed in his ruling, emphasizing that if the shares really have the value mentioned by some opponents, it is likely that there will be interested parties willing to bid and offer a higher amount.
